Re-United and It Feels So Good....
What do Brandon Yip, Kevin Shattenkirk, Colby Cohen and Kieran Millan all have in common with David Quinn?
They all work, or will work, for the Colorado Avalanche.
Quinn left BU to become the Head Coach of the Av's AHL Affiliate, The Lake Erie Monsters. He should soon be linked up with a fair number of players he helped coach to a national championship this year.
BU and Daily Free Press legend Fluto Shinzawa wrote a column about Quinn for The Globe today.
As always, Fluto knocked it out of the park and learned us on Quinn, past, present and future.

Meet Your New Terriers
The best and worst part about following college sports is the turnover. It keeps things exciting and fresh, but it also guarantees that no matter how talented a player is and how much he loves his school, he will be gone in four years.
After a year like 2009, that is a scary proposition for fans of the Terriers. Hobey Baker himself Matt Gilroy heads up the list of now-former Terriers, followed closely by his Assistant Captain Brian Strait, who left the friendly confines of Boston U a year early to get his feet wet in the NHL. World-Beater Colin Wilson understandably decided to follow the same path all the way to Nashville. Add the loss of graduating seniors John McCarthy, Chris Higgins, Brandon Yip, Jason Lawrence and Steve Smolinsky and all of a sudden you just said goodbye to a third of your team.
Luckily, BU is BU, and as always there is a very strong incoming class of freshman on Commonwealth Avenue.
TMA will break down the numbers on each of the seven incoming recruits in the coming weeks individually, but first we'll get you excited about it with a nifty little feature from GoTerriers.com.
BU Athletics wants you to know all about the newest members of the family. Check it out, and realize that the first exhibition game is less than three short months away.

Return of TMA
Here at Two Man Advantage we have been on vacation. A very, very, very long vacation. Essentially, we got caught up in the moment of The Terriers' incredible run to the National Championship.
It was truly an amazing spring for the Ice Dogs, who won everything they possibly could. Start to finish, the Terriers always found a way to win.
But now, while the TMA staff will still be attending all the games, we will be doing so not as students, but as alumnus. This means that we will be able to provide better coverage then ever of the defending national champions.
As the summer ends, and the weather begins to cool off enough for the ice to freeze, TMA is going to be previewing the 2009-2010 Boston University Terriers. From the returning players to the new recruits, from in-conference oppenents to the CCHA, from Agannis to Fenway Park, TMA will get you up to speed.
So check back here in late August, and stick with us throughout all of the campaign. We'll be with you every step of the way as Your Terriers try to defend their National Championship.

Gryba Happy!
Eric Gryba has smashed and bashed his way all the way to a "A" on his sweater.Gryba, along with rising junior Nick Bonino will be the assistants to Kevin Shattenkirk's captainship.
Shatty was slated to co-captain the 09-10 Terriers along with Brian Strait, but Strait has opted to go pro, signing a deal with the Penguins.

This promotion means a whole new responsibility for Gryba. Playing on ultra-talented teams has allowed the mammoth defender to play a secondary role, and often take unecessary penalties without really hurting the team. However, with the top pair of blue-liners gone to the pros, Gryba will assume a position of leadership in his senior year.
This is a big vote of confidence from Jack Parker, showing that he believes in Gryba to tone it down a notch.
The big fella' has amassed 236 penalty minutes over his first three years in Scarlet, including 106 minutes in the sin bin in 46 games in 2008-09.
Gryba is just 52 minutes shy of Freddy Meyer's BU record for career penalty minutes. Let's all raise a glass and hope that one Scarlet "A" doesn't hold Gryba back from making history.
