Who the hell are the St. Francis Xavier University X-Men?

You probably know them best as the place where P.J. Stock played for a year before moving on to greener pastures with the Hartford Wolf Pack.

They're the Terriers' first opponent of the 2009-2010 season, that's who.

October 3rd marks the first exhibition contest of the year for BU, and you better believe that The X-Men will be visiting the Terriers and not the other way around. St. Francis will stay an extra night for another exhibition contest the next night at Newton University.

St. Francis is represented by 11 varsity sports. Their men's football team won something called the College Bowl in 1966, which is apparently the biggest athletic accomplishment in the history of the school. They also have a pretty good women's rugby program.

But Your Terriers won't be playing football or rugby. They'll be playing against these guys.

Last year St. Francis finished fourth in their conference with a record of 15-13, putting up 107 goals while surrendering 100.

The guy you'll want to watch out for is Brett Morrison, wearing number 10 on his back. The 5-10 center led the X-Men in scoring last year with 12 goals and 19 assists.

The program also sent three players to the professional ranks this year.

So there you have it. 100% more than you ever wanted or needed to know about the X-Men of St. Francis Xavier.
