The Comeback Kids Are Back!

Late Rally Earns Terriers A 3-3 Tie

For the second straight game, BU scored with under a minute remaining in regulation to tie the game.  Unlike Tuesday's game with Harvard, there would be no goal in OT on Saturday.

Chris Connolly put home the game tying goal with just 51 seconds to play with BU on the power play and an empty net behind him for the extra attacker.  It was just one of many exciting goals on what turned out to be a great night of hockey at MSG.

David Warsofsky scored one of his patented short handed goals, and Nick Bonino scored his second of the year on a 2-on-1 rush the get BU within one.

We'll have plenty more on this one later on, as we break down a great Red Hot Hockey.

Know Your Enemy: The "Red Hot Hockey" Edition

Cornell and BU Playing on The Big Stage
There are three games this season that BU fans have had circled on the calender since the schedule came out.  One is obviously the first Monday in February when BU and the Huskies go head to head in the opening round of the Beanpot.  The second game is the once in a lifetime experience of watching BU and BC battle it out at Fenway Park on February 8th.  The third is undoubtedly tonight at MSG when the old ECAC foes meet up for the second edition Red Hot Hockey.

This is a chance for kids to play at the World's Most Famous Arena in front of 18,200 fans.  This is going to be a great time, but it ain't gonna be a walk in the park for the Terriers, as they take on a tough Cornell team.

Nice Feature on NY-NJ-CT Terriers

Scott Weighart Truly is the Man

All Scott Weighart does is pump out great college hockey writing, specifically about the Terriers, so it should come as no surprise that he has a great feature up on GoTerriers right now.

The article focuses on how big of an experience playing at the World's Most Famous Arena is for some of the kids who grew up rooting for the Blureshirts.  Some of these players include Captain Kevin Shattenkirk, Luke Popko, Zach Cohen, Joe Pereiera and Freshman Sean Escobedo.

As Weighart points out, that's a lot more tri-state natives than the Big Red have -- they have none.

In any case, get pumped up for the trip to NY by listening to the '09 Yankees Fight Song.

In A Hole

USCHO Details Terriers' Struggles

This article is a good look at the struggle this season has been so far for the Terriers.

The quotes in it from Jack Parker are pretty telling about how he feels about this team right now.  When a coach uses the word "stupid" in an interview about his team, it's not an accident.

Among the problems that Parker identifies in the interview is an inability to recognize defensive schemes while on the power play and a rash of injuries to significant players.

In case you're wondering, Dave Hendrickson picks Cornell to beat BU 3-2 in OT at Red Hot Hockey.  Shame on you, Mr. Hendrickson.

BU Sneaks Out Of Harvard With OT Win

Six Goals, One Win, No Points For BU In Non-Conference Thriller

It's almost a joke that it's this difficult for BU to get past teams like Harvard, but unfortunately that's the state of affairs for the Terriers right now.  If you dare, read up on the recaps from GoTerriers, WTBU Sports, and USCHO.  Also check out the box score.

Let's try to piece this one together as best as we can.

Parker: Terriers "Half-Assed" Effort At Practice

FreeP Article Shows Us Coach Jackie is Not A Happy Camper

Coach Jack Parker reemed his team after they floated through a practice on Monday, writes Jake Seiner of the DFP.

“I thought we played OK on Saturday for sure. It was how we practiced today,” Parker said after practice. “This team needs to either change its attitude or it might as well pack up, hand them the two points.”

[...]

Is it safe to say BU’s looking past an unimposing Crimson squad?

“Obviously, after this practice,” Parker said. “All I know is the mentality today was awful.  I think it’ll be interesting to see who shows up [Tuesday]. Who doesn’t will not show up on Saturday at Madison Square Garden.”
Interesting element to add to this game.  We'll see if Jack's tongue lashing can wake these clowns up, or if they continue to underperform.

BU And Harvard Go At it At Bright Hockey Center

This will be a very abbrevieated Know Your Enemy due to the hectic holiday schedule.

Last year BU faced off against Holy Cross on the Tuesday before Turkey Day, but that was actually a departure from the norm.  Prior to last season, The Terriers and Crimson played on that day in 12 consecutive seasons, and celebrated Thanksgiving early a total of 15 times.

Why Can't Anybody Just Win Two Games?

Wrapping Up Another Split Decision Weekend of Hockey East

Let's get to the honors first:

Player of the Week:  Chris Auger -- UML
Rookie of the Week: Pat Mullane -- BC
Defensive Player of the Week:  Brian Foster -- UNH

In a weekend of two game series, ties were the name of the game in many contests.  14 points were up for grabs, and they were spread out fairly evenly among a still tight Hockey East.

Post Game Reactions: November 21

BU And UNH All Tied Up

In the second game of the home and home series between BU and UNH, there would be no winner, as the teams skated to a 3-3 tie at Agganis Arena on Saturday Night.

Read up on the recaps from USCHO, GoTerriers and WTBU Sports, as well as the box score.

It was a back and forth game, but the Terriers held a 2-1 advantage heading into the third, but fell flat on their face coming out of the locker room, almost immediately surrendering a goal to the Wildcats just 20 seconds into the final frame.  About six minutes later UNH scored again, forcing BU to fight just to earn one point.

The Terriers were able to do just that with about 8 minutes to play in the game when Corey Trivino scored off a brilliant pass from Kevin Shattenkirk.

Still, it almost felt like a loss for BU despite coming away with the tie.

Terriers Imitate Knicks

If you were at the game last night, you saw Eric Gryba nearly score on his own goal while attempting to carry the puck out of his own zone.  Shades of MacArthur on Curry for the only goal in a loss to BC.

Luckily, Gryba's shot went wide of the post, but it looked suspiciously similar to another team with a similar record.

Last night Nate Robinson of the Knicks intentionally shot on his own hoop at the end of the 1st quarter.

It's bad when the 3-7-1 Terriers look like the 3-9 New York Knicks.

BU Blows Lead, Salvages Point

Terriers Tie UNH 3-3

Colby Cohen assisted on two UNH scores to spur the Wildcats to a 3-3 tie with the Terriers at Agganis Arena Saturday night.

David Warsofsky, Vinny Saponari and Corey Trivino each scored for BU.  Saponari's goal was the highlight of the night, spinning away from a defender and ptting on a one-man show for the team's second goal.

Grant Rollheiser saved 27 of 30 shots for the Terriers in the tie.

Much more on this later.

Gryba Watch: November 20

Never A Dull Moment

With BU trailing 3-2 midway through the third period, Eric Gryba, being the great leader that he is as an assistant captain, decided it was time to take matters into his own hands.  No, he didn't make a big play that led to the tying goal.  He didn't make a key outlet pass that started an odd-man rush.  He didn't block a shot that kept his team in the game.

He took a penalty for interference.

You see, Gryba's all about drama.  Coming back from one goal down simply isn't dramatic enough.  You don't make SportsCenter with one goal comebacks.  So Gryba did what we all knew he would do, and took a penalty with 9:34 to play in the game.

With one of their biggest defensive presences sitting in the sin bin, the Terriers gave up a power play goal about 45 seconds later which put the game on ice.  Smooth move.

The two minute minor brought Gryba within two minutes of the Terriers' record for career penalty minutes, just 9 short minutes behind the legendary Freddy Meyer.  Look for the 10-minute game misconduct tomorrow night to get him over the hump.  It will most likely come when the Terriers really, really, really need one of their elder statesman to act like he's a leader.

In other news, Eric is turning in his hockey skates for a pair of these:

Another Loss in the Books

Terriers Fall 4-2 to UNH at The Whit

The 2009-10 Terriers suffered their seventh loss of the season tonight at UNH, falling 4-2 to the Wildcats.  BU lost just six games all of last year.

Kieran Millan surrendered 4 goals on 27 shots after his first night off of the year last Saturday.

Zach Cohen continued his strong season with a goal, and Ross Gaudet scored for the second consecutive game for his second collegiate goal.

We'll have much more on this game later on.

Terriers Set For Home and Home With UNH Wildcats

BU is about to kick off another crucial two game set in Hockey East this weekend, this time against the Wildcats of the University of New Hampshire.  With four points up for grabs in a still very tight conference, every game is important for the under-achieving Terriers right now.  UNH is smack in the middle of the dog fight that is Hockey East, sitting in second place along with four other teams.

Big Weekend of Hockey East Coming Up

Total of 14 Points Up For Grabs

Rhett's Pumped Up To Snag Four Points

Before we get to that, let's take a look at what else is going on in Hockey East this weekend.

Alumnus Update (11/19/09)

Catching Up With Last Year's Favorites

Matt Gilroy
NHL -- New York Rangers

Matty Ice has had more immediate success than any other 2009 Terrier.  Gilroy has played in all 21 Rangers' games so far this season.  He has put up just 2 goals and 2 assists so far for the Blueshirts, but never missing a beat right out of college is impressive in itself.  One of the complaints about Gilroy is that he is putting aside his offensive prowess in favor of concentrating on defense.  Blueshirt Banter expands on this concern:

"I lumped [Marc Stall and Matt Gilroy] together because I think they are two heads of the same coin. I think Staal's game is regressing because he is a defensive defenseman worrying too much about his offense, and Gilroy is an offensive defenseman worried too much about his defense. I've said it a hundred times, I think these two should be paired together so they can both focus on doing what they do best."

As time goes on and Matty gains more confidence at the pro level, he should be able to slide into his game more effectively and do what he does best.  I would imagine that even as this season goes on he will shift more toward the role of offensive defenseman that we all know and love.

Hot and Cold

The Colby Cohen Story

I want to like Colby Cohen.  I really do. And there are plenty of reasons to like the kid.  He's enthusiastic and driven.  Whenever I've seen him doing interviews or talking to people outside of hockey, he's been very nice.  When I met him personally in DC after his game winning goal he seemed excited and humble, and was very generous with his time to take pictures and talk to fans.  In short, he seems like a good guy.

Add to that the fact that Cohen has a ridiculous shot from the point.  There are few collegiate defenseman who can even be put in the same class with that shot, and when Cohen is able to control the puck and uncork one of his rockets, as he was on Saturday for the game winning goal, it spells trouble for the opposition.

Unfortunately, an exceptional shot isn't the only part of Cohen's game that is on display every time he takes the ice.

Versus The Rest

How Does Hockey East Match Up?

Are all the teams in Hockey East so good that nobody can gain separation from one another?  Or is it more of a mediocre conference than some people are willing to admit?

Well let's run through Hockey East teams and how they have performed out of conference.

Amherst -- 3-0
Lowell -- 4-1
BC -- 1-0
Vermont -- 1-1
Mack -- 3-2
Maine -- 1-3
NU -- 2-1
BU -- 1-1
Providence -- 5-1

That means that overall, Hockey East teams have posted a 21-10 record against non-conference opponents.

For the most part, play in conference has been much more even.  The top team in the conference, Amherst, has just 8 points.  Many of the home and home series we have seen here early on have provided nail biters, and have often resulted in splits.  Hockey East also has 6 teams in the top 25 PairWise rankings (BU isn't one of them).

Initial returns indicate that even if BU is falling out of the elite teams in the nation this year, Hockey East is still hanging around as one of the best.

Terriers Still Slipping in National Polls

Well, somebody still thinks the Terriers deserve to be in the top 15 teams in the nation.

Seriously, one person thinks that.

In what is becoming a weekly trend, BU dropped even further, all the way down to receiving one vote.  That's almost worse than not being on the list at all.

Amherst is the only other Hockey East team in the top 15 after starting their season 7-2.  The Minutemen are perfect in non-conference contests so far this year.

Gryba Watch (11/14)

Sprinting Toward the Finish

Eric Gryba took just one penalty on Friday night, but my god did he make up for it on Saturday.

Count them up.  Tripping, hitting after the whistle, checking (?) and hooking.  His penalty at 9:09 in the third came less than a minute after Merrimack's fourth goal which had made it a one-goal game.  Whether or not you're going after a record, that is an inexcusable penalty Eric.

That's a clean 10 minutes for the big man on the weekend, and wouldn't you know it, he's almost in single digits.

Mini Post Game Reactions: Friday, November 13

Merrimack 6 -- BU 3

First, let's give you a peek at the game stories recapping this atrocity, from USCHO, GoTerriers, The Eagle Tribune, Hockey East Online and WTBU Sports.  Also, check out the box score.

BU is now the proud the proud owner of a four game losing streak.  Care to know when the last time that happened was?  Well let's hop in the way-back machine, all the way to 2004.

From Feburary 6 -- Feburary 14 of 2004, BU dropped four in a row to Providence, BC in the Beanpot Final, Merrimack, and again to Providence.  They lost by a total margin of -6 over those four contests.  It was only part of a miserable year for the Scarlet and White, who finished 12-17-9 and 6-13-5 in Hockey East play.  At the time of that fourth loss, BU sat in 8th place in Hockey East.

Useless trivia of the day: Ryan Whitney led that team in points with 25 on the year.

Oh, and by the way, last year's Terriers lost six games all season long.  They now have six losses after playing just eight games this year.  That folks, is not a good thing.  Not a good thing at all.

BU didn't take the loss very well, either.  Colby Cohen showed his frustration fairly openly, taking slashing, roughing and hitting after the whistle penalties before fighting Matt Moulakelis of Merrimack.

The French sensation Stephane da Costa scored for Merrimack, and Brnadon Brodhag tallied two of his own to earn the first star of the game.

Millan sucked.  That's it.  Round 2 tonight.

1...2...3....4 Losses in a Row

My God, The Terriers Are Bad Right Now

That Will Be Me at Agganis Tomorrow

BU is officially in trouble after dropping their fourth in a row, all to Hockey East teams.

They've lost to 5 out of 9 Hockey East teams so far, and it simply doesn't show any signs of getting better from here.

The lone bright spot was Wade Megan's first collegiate goal, so congratulations to him. Besides that, it was simply an awful night for the Terriers.  It can't be written off as a one-goal loss like the last three, this was simply a blow-out.

They were down 5-1 with 13 minutes to play in the game after surrendering back to back Mack goals 22 seconds apart early in the third.

Kieran Millan gave up 5 goals on just 22 shots before giving way to Adam Krauss for the final 17 minutes of the game.  Krauss saved 11 of 12 shots in what was essentially garbadge time for the Warriors' offense.  Don't get too jazzed up about that.  Mack didn't exactly need to push it up by four goals.

We'll be back with rants and raves later tonight about this one.

Which Song Sums Up The Awful Start to This Season Best?

Choice #1: Paul Simon
"Slip Slidin' Away"

What started as a season of high hopes and dreams has quickly turned to disaster.  The high ranking, the high praise, and the high spirits have certainly all started to slip slide away.  And it's only November.  Can BU right the ship before it's too late?  Or is this season already slip slidin' away?

Choice #2: Tom Petty
"Free Fallin'"

From all the way at the top of the hockey world, all the way to unranked, the Terriers have been Free Fallin' ever since Matt Gilroy and company laced em up for the last time for BU.  It's been a train wreck of an effort trying to replace seven huge stars.  BU's fall from grace has been dramatic, instant and impressive.

Choice #3: REM
"Everybody Hurts"

BU fans are crying themselves to sleep at night thinking about how painful it is to watch this new, young Terriers team.  Who or what is hurting most right now?  Nick Bonino's shoulder?  Jack Parker's brain?  The Dog Pound?  Kieran Millan's neck whipping his head around to find the puck in the back of the net?  My throat from screaming down at the ice?  Gryba's ass from spending so much damn time in the box?  Let's just say everybody hurts.

Choice #4: Alice in Chains
"Down in a Hole"

Tied for dead last in Hockey East with a team who's only two points came from beating you.  2-5 overall.  1-4 in conference play.  Out of the national rankings entirely.  There's no denying that the 2009-10 Terriers have dug their grave and at least started to peer into it.  I don't think they have quite yet put one foot in there yet, but they are definitely considering it.  If nothing else, they probably want to crawl into a hole after each and every one of these incredibly tight losses.

Choice #5: Nirvana
"I Hate Myself & I Want to Die"

Perhaps this one is a little extreme.  Nonetheless, it's an option.

Choice #6: Pink Floyd
"Wish You Were Here"

Matt Gilroy, Colin Wilson, John McCarthy, Chris Higgins, Brandon Yip, Brian Strait, Jason Lawrence and Steve Smolinsky.

The Odd Weekend That Was in Hockey East

Lowell Still Truckin', Vermont Re-Gaining Form

Let's start off this weekend wrap with some honors.

First off, there were two players of the week this time around.

Brian Gibbons of BC had an outstanding weekend, recording a goal and four assists in two games for the Eagles.  His efforts also earned him first star of the game in BC's 5-1 romp over NU on Saturday.

Gibbon's will be sharing the honors this week with Nick Shaus of UML who registered two goals and two assists this weekend for Lowell.  He too earned the number one star on Saturday night.

Earning the rookie of the week award, courtesy of BU, was Northeastern goalie Chris Rawlings.  Despite getting completely spanked by Newton U on Saturday, Rawlings' 26 save effort against BU was enough for the win, the shutout, and the rookie of the week.

Rounding out the honors this week is Vermont goalie Mike Spillane, winning defensive player of the week.  He saved all 33 shots he faced in a 3-0 defeat of Providence on Sunday.

Now let's get you caught up on the status of the teams.

Terriers Lose At Maine, 3-2

What to say, what to say...

BU is in a rough patch right now.  In fact, it's the worst stretch for BU since December of 2007.  We'll get into that in a minute.

Let's get to some analysis....

Terriers Desperate For Offensive Spark

Nick Bonino's Busted Shoulder Hurting BU

When Nick Bonino skated off the ice clutching his right shoulder on October 24th, you could almost hear a collective groan from the BU faithful watching the Terriers at Aggannis Arena.  The team was already 0-2 to start their National Title defense, and they were staring at a tight game against a solid Michigan team.  They squeezed out a victory that night, and managed to escape Lowell with an overtime win the next weekend.

Since then, it has been ugly for BU.

Slip Slidin' Away: BU Drops Game at Maine, 3-2

Last season, the Boston University Terriers lost six games all season long.  That includes their one loss in the best of three Hockey East Quarterfinals series that they went on to win.

Six.

The Terriers have played just seven games this season, and they are now just one loss away from matching that same number from last season.

With a 3-2 loss at Maine, BU falls to 2-5 on the season, including conference losses to Amherst, Lowell, Northeastern and today to Maine.  Their lone conference victory came in the first game of a home and home with UML.

That means the Terriers are now 1-4 in Hockey East play, putting them in a tie for dead last in the conference standings.  Translation: If the playoffs started today, BU would be on the outside looking in.

With that being said, the playoffs do not start today.  BU has plenty of time to right the ship, but after dropping three consecutive games for the first time in two seasons, there will need to be some serious changes in Terrier land for things to improve dramatically.

Back soon with a full wrap on this very disappointing weekend for BU.

Checking In With John Curry and Brian Strait

It's been a while since we went down to the farm in Scranton to see how two of our favorite alums are handling pro hockey.

John Curry continues to play well for the Baby Pens, and he's going to have to in order to fend off Brad Thiessen from taking his job.

Thiessen made his AHL debut on October 24 at Bridgeport in a 2-1 overtime loss.  Thiessen also got a start on November 1 at Toronto, where the Pens lost 4-2.  He made 51 saves while surrendering 5 goals in those games.

Since Thiessen made that start, Curry has played well, but has also fallen on some hard luck.  He earned a shutout win on October 29 atManitoba, but lost the next night in Manitoba, 2-1.  Most recently, last night, John and the Baby Pens fell on their home ice to Norfolk, 2-1.  More or less, Curry needs to toss a shutout to win on this damn team.

Checking in on Brian Strait shows a typical, solid season for Strait to this point.  In 11 games, Brian has 2 assists with a plus/minus of 3 and just 8 penalty minutes.

Scranton has another chance to right the ship tonight at 7 PM in Worcester.  If you're bored, drive on up there and watch these guys do work.

Gryba Watch: November 6, 2009

This is Becoming a Trend....

The Terriers' recent run of bad luck must be making Gryba angry.  And you wouldn't like him when he's angry....mostly because he's taking bad penalties in close games.

The penalties were of the very angry variety tonight, with a two minute minor for slashing at 7:48 of the first and one for cross checking at 13:04 of the second frame.  It's becoming a near certainty that Gryba will shatter this record, but will his team finish over .500?

Stay tuned.

BU Falls to NU 1-0

Forty three shots, zero goals.  Against a freshman goaltender.

Heard this story before?

If you said yes, it's because you saw it play out before your eyes in the first three games of the season.  Well ladies and gents, it happened again tonight.

BU was shutout at Matthews Arena by the Northeastern Huskies, dropping BU to 2-4 on the season.  The freshman goalie who dominated BU this time was Chris Rawlings.

Junior Forward Wade Macleod put home the game's only goal at the 12:37 mark of the third to put the game on ice.

We'll be back soon to give you a full rant on this god-awful performance.

Know Your Enemy: The "Your Mascot Has Brain Damage" Edition

BU Goes to Worst Arena on Earth to Play Northeastern

That's right ladies and gentlemen, it's that time of year again, when Your Terriers are forced to skate across town to the shoebox on Huntington Avenue, Matthews Arena.

Northeastern is a shadow of the team they once were, more so than even BU is.  They are 2-3 overall and 0-2 in Hockey East play so far this year.

So what will happen when BU goes to Husky Town this weekend?

Colin Wilson Re-Injures His Groin

World Domination on Hold

The Golden Boy is hurt again, and is missing his team's upcoming West Coast trip as a result.

Wilson re-aggravated an injury that held him out of early season games for Nashville, and is going to miss some more time because of it.

There is no time-table on his return.  It could be as soon as later this week, but that apparently is not likely.

And it's a shame, as his coach was just telling us all how well he thought Colin was playing

Best wishes to Colin, and we hope to see him back on the ice as soon as possible.

Wrapping Up The Weekend That Was In Hockey East

BC Not So Good Anymore, Same Story For Vermont, BU

The world is turning upside down, and the sky seems to be falling on some of the big powerhouses of Hockey East.

You all know what happened with BU this weekend.  BU took Friday night in overtime on the strength of a Colby Cohen goal.   No, not this one.

After that, Lowell evened the score at Aggannis, taking the game 3-2 behind a strong performance from captain Ben Holmstrom.

What about the rest of the league?
  •  Boston College split their home and home with the NEW Merrimack Warriors, who are proving that they're a force to be reckoned with.    On Friday Night at Contre Forum, they managed to keep the ice cold enough to play a game, and they won 4-3 despite the fact that John Muse sat out a game for the first time in his collegiate career.  Ben Smith scored the game winner in that one.
On Sunday afternoon, Mack got even behind world-beater Stephane De Costa, who tallied a goal           and an assist in the 5-3 victory.
  •  The rising power that is UMass Amherst also split with Providence College.  On Friday, Amherst stayed perfect, going to 4-0 with a 5-3 victory on the road in Rhode Island.  Matthew Irwin scored his fourth and James Marcou scored his second in the win.
But as was the theme this weekend, Providence came back on Saturday to win 2-1, putting the               first blemish on Amhert's record.  Friars' goalie Alex Beaudry was a monster in the win, saving             47 of 48 Amherst shots.
  • New Hampshire has the roughest weekend of any Hockey East team, losing on consecutive nights to Wisconsin on the road, 4-1 and 6-1.
With no team having played more than 4 conference games, it's far too early to concentrate on the standings at all.

7 Is Better Than 8

BU Falls To Seventh in the National Polls

The IceDogs dropped from fourth to seventh in the National Poll this week after splitting a home and home series with the Riverhawks.

That same UMass Lowell club moved up from 9th to 8th in the rankings.

Vermont and BC now sit at 15 and 16 respectively, and UMass Amherst dropped from 17 to 19.

Gryba Watch: Halloween Edition

The Big Man Gets Four More in the Sin Bin

Well, Eric Gryba disappointed us all in Lowell Friday night by skating a clean, penalty free game in the Terriers' 5-4 overtime victory over the Riverhawks.

It turns out Eric was just saving all the blood for the home game on Saturday night.

Gryba took a two-minute minor for boarding with 7 minutes to play in the second period.  Just 30 seconds later, UML's Ben Holmstrom scored a power play goal, the eventual game winner, to put the Riverhawks up 3-1 at that point.

But Gryba wasn't done.  Not by a long shot.

With the Terriers desperately trying to piece together a late rally and find a way to tie the game at three, Gryba took out a UML player's legs with a nifty little dive, good for another 2 minute minor, this time for tripping.  It also effectively killed the BU rally.

So congratulations Eric.  You're 4 minutes closer.

BU Comes Up Just Short in BU-UML Part II

The Terriers lost 3-2 to the Riverhawks at Aggannis on Halloween Night, a disappointing end to the weekend that started very well for the IceDogs.

Vinny Saponari and Kevin Shattenkirk got the scores for BUwhile Kieran Millan turned away 18 of the 21 shots he faced.

A late penalty by Eric Gryba and two mishandled pucks at the blue line by Colby Cohen effectively killed any rally that BU had in their blood.

Check out the full box score here, and check back later to get the full post-game reactions.
