The Big Man Gets Four More in the Sin Bin
Well, Eric Gryba disappointed us all in Lowell Friday night by skating a clean, penalty free game in the Terriers' 5-4 overtime victory over the Riverhawks.
It turns out Eric was just saving all the blood for the home game on Saturday night.
Gryba took a two-minute minor for boarding with 7 minutes to play in the second period. Just 30 seconds later, UML's Ben Holmstrom scored a power play goal, the eventual game winner, to put the Riverhawks up 3-1 at that point.
But Gryba wasn't done. Not by a long shot.
With the Terriers desperately trying to piece together a late rally and find a way to tie the game at three, Gryba took out a UML player's legs with a nifty little dive, good for another 2 minute minor, this time for tripping. It also effectively killed the BU rally.
So congratulations Eric. You're 4 minutes closer.
