Between periods on Saturday Night, Aggannis Arena got to know Eric Gryba a little bit better as BU did a pre-produced piece talking to the big man about a slew of different things hockey and non-hockey.
Gryba told us all that his favorite BU player of all time is Freddy Meyer. At that point, I thought that he must be trying to please me personally.
Then in the third, Gryba took a 5 minute hitting from behind penalty, along with a 10 minute game misconduct penalty for a glorious 15 minutes of sin bin time. Almost a whole damn period closer to etching his name in Terrier lore.
This is no longer a crawl to the record. It's a freakin mad dash.
