Banner Raising Ceremony Changed

Will Now Be Held Before Meaningless Game

The Boston University Terriers have decided to move their 2009 NCAA Championship banner raising ceremony to before the October 10th exhibiton against the US U-18 Team.

Coach Parker told GoTerriers.com:

"There are several reasons why we will now have the ceremony on Oct. 10.  Our team and coaching staff want to raise the banner before we start our regular season, which begins at UMass on Oct. 16. It's something we want to be able to take our time with and enjoy, and an exhibition contest allows us to do that. Plus, a Saturday game will allow fans to be in their seats before faceoff more easily than a Tuesday game."

He makes good points, and in reality this will probably allow more people to get to the game, as opposed to a Tuesday Night.  It just seemed like it would have been a really good way to pump up a young team before a tough game against Notre Dame.

Either way, for better or worse, the banner will be raised on the 10th, so get there early.
