Who Are These Guys?

BU Continues to be Consistently Inconsistent, Runs Over UMass 6-2

Well that was different.

The Terriers decided to show up at Agganis Arena against UMass in a big way, beating the Minutemen handily and wire to wire, 6-2.

Ross Gaudet continued his stellar sophomore season with two more goals to lead the way for the Ice Dogs.

Gaudet Postgame

Plenty went right for BU in this one, so let's get to it.
Centennial

Nick Bonino, mid-way through his junior season, tallied his 100th career point with three assists in this game.  He has quietly put together a nice little season despite missing time with a shoulder injury and seeing his goal production go way down.  Bonino has become much more of a playmaker this year, setting up his teammates for 15 goals while netting just 6 of his own.  After scoring 16 and 18 goals in his first two seasons, this may be disappointing for Bonino, but if he can settle into his new role he can still be a huge part of this offense.

2010: The Year of Colby Cohen

BU's new golden boy can do no wrong in the new decade.  Colby had another monster game, scoring on a bomb from the blue line, and using his super human X-Ray Vision to telestrate the puck from the point to Vinny Saponari down low who tipped it home nicely.

In the seven games since 2010 began, Colby Cohen has put up a ridiculous 6 goals and 4 assists.  He has also taken many fewer dumb penalties and has played near lockdown defense.  The year of Colby Cohen indeed.

Ross is Boss

After he didn't so much as step on the ice in his Freshman season, Gaudet has been a big part of the Terriers offense this season, scoring 7 goals and helping on another.  His first came off a rebound from an Eric Gryba bomb, and his second was a snapshot directly off of a faceoff.  Both showed great awareness and vision, as well as quick wrists.  He may not be Colin Wilson, but he is definitely showing some flashes of brilliance.

Kieran Millan is Back?

I don't want to take full credit for Millan's big performance against a solid offensive team in UMass, but I will.  After the UNH game, I voiced my opinion, loudly, that I was tired of both Kieran Millan and Grant Rollheiser and I would like to see Parker give Adam Krauss a shot, because it sure couldn't get much worse.

All of a sudden, Kieran plays a solid game, saving 39 of 41 Minutemen shots.  You can give me credit for that second star of the game whenever you like, Kieran.

Make it a Streak

Next up for BU is the Beanpot.  They open up with the late game against Northeastern, who sucks pretty  bad this season.  If BU doesn't play BC in the final, I'll be pretty horribly disappointed.
