BU Beats Northeastern, Home Ice Still Possible

BU Eeks Out a Close One On Senior Night

A back and forth game finished in the Terriers' favor, with the Ice Dogs sneaking out of their home regular season finale as 5-4 winners over Northeastern.

The Terriers got production from everyone it seemed, as Wade Megan, Zach Cohen, Chris Connolly and David Warsofsky all scored before Vinny Saponari netted the game winner mid-way through the third.

Kieran Millan was average, as he has been all year long, saving 17 of 21 NU shots.  He's beginning to prove that his ridiculous freshman season was the product of a very talented group of defenseman in front of him more than on the strength of his talent alone.

The BU faithful also said goodbye to three seniors.  Zach Cohen, Eric Gryba and Luke Popko were all honored after the game.  It's sad to see those three go, but at least it's not six graduating and two more leaving like it was last season.

BU will have a chance to earn a home playoff series with a win tonight coupled with a Lowell loss to a desperate UVM squad.
