The Terriers defeated the Northeastern Huskies 4-3 to earn the #3 seed in Hockey East and a home playoff series next weekend against Merrimack.
As an added bonus, the win for the Terriers means that the Huskies have been elminated from playoff contention.
The winning goal went to a Gilroy, as Kevin scored his very first of the season to beat Chris Rawlings and the Huskies at Matthews.
Vermont and Lowell tied at Tsongas, and Amherst completed an improbable sweep of Maine, the perfect storm to allow the Terriers to clinch the number three seed in Hockey East.
Your final standings:
1) New Hampshire
2) Boston College
3) Boston U
4) Maine
5) Lowell
6) Merrimack
7) Amherst
8) Vermont
----------------------------
9) Northeastern
10) Providence
Pretty incredible that the Terriers find a way to earn home ice and climb all the way to the three seed. In any case, it's BU and the Mack next weekend at Jack Parker Rink. Should be an incredible series.
