The New York Gilroys and Colorado Yips met up last night in Denver. Hobey came out on top.
Although neither player had a huge impact on the game, Matt Gilroy's Rangers defeated Brandon Yip's Avalanche 3-1 on the strength of a Marian Gaborik hat trick.
The former teammates skated against one another for the first time as pros, the first of what should be many meetings for the NHL rookies.
