TMA First Star of the Weekend: Joe Pereira

Despite What Hockey East Says

The Bulldog had his best weekend all season long, and skated as well as I have seen him skate as a Terrier.

Joey P did an outstanding job applying pressure to a tough Maine team on consecutive nights, consistently flying through the neutral zone and pounding Black Bear defenders on the forecheck.  He killed penalties, he set screens, he made key passes, and he looked fast as hell.

In addition to his strong complementary play in all phases of the game, Pereiera made a difference on the score sheet, registering two assists on Friday, and three more on Saturday.

It was a true blue collar effort for Joe.

So even if Hockey East says it was Bobby Butler, I say it was Joe Pereira.

TMA Second Star of the Weekend: Zach Cohen
Zach played physical hockey all weekend and played well with the puck.  He is definitely one of the four or five most important guys on this team.

TMA Third Star of the Weekend: Colby Cohen (DQ'ed)
Colby was here for playing hard and fighting his way through injuries, but his star was revoked when he actually started fighting with a three goal lead with just 20 seconds to play on Saturday.  Tsk tsk Colby.
